I’ve run out of only one thing…

My hubby thinks we could go 2 weeks with the food we have in the house. I’m willing to take a few risks and run to the store once a week. No one has what I am looking for though.

I have run out of things to write about. It is just the 2 of us at home, working side by side at the kitchen table. Trying to keep it light, get work done, entertain ourselves, but there have been zero small, interesting moments. I still have 11 days to write.

I kind of wish he would start irritating me, but we aren’t really bothered by this boring, mundane schedule.

This is going to be a long couple of weeks (or more).

  1. Well I think a real small moment/slice of life about how a person is annoying you in the moment would be a lot of fun! LOL One thing I have learned in this monthly challenge over time is that there is always something to write about. Describe the sunset, your dinner, the sound of the fan blowing the heat from one room to the next..

  2. Now I need to know what you ran out of and what you can’t find at the stores. I know we will run out of perishable foods each week or 2 so that is what I am worried about.

  3. You could always ‘create’ something to write about…..try doing something out of character and see if your husband notices. You might also learn something about him! Good Luck!

    1. Maybe write about a memory? An item you cherish? An item you lost? The first time you…

I am torn between wishing you inspiration and wishing you continued tranquility, because I would hate for inspiration to be negative! 😉

  4. I was thinking about this today. I live by myself and my life is so uninteresting these days. The view from my dining table window is getting quite old!

  5. I am also SO bored. I have started a new tv series, and started rewatching an old one (westworld). I’m still bored. We are used to so much stimulation ALL day – when 90% of it is removed, we are like blobs! Or at least I am. What do real clothes feel like again?

    1. I am not a big TV watcher, but we decided to find something to watch together. We watched the first episode of the Sinner last night. Mike watches everything so it was hard to find something he had never seen!

  6. I’m having a really difficult time coming up with topics because it feels like my world revolves around decisions based on coronavirus information! I’m hoping a little break this weekend will get the juices flowing again!

  7. Last year was my 1st year and I was worried that I wouldn’t have anything to write about, but this year I have struggled especially with being home all day and night and not having too many different experiences!

Hopefully the ideas will come easily next year!

  8. Maybe try and look at a stain on the table or the shape of some crumbs and try and see what they remind you of and write a story or a poem about that? I understand the boredom of it, because we are waiting and no one knows how long for ….!!
