Day 29

Trying to squeeze in the last few moments of Spring Break. The weather was supposed to be cold and rainy today, but instead it is sunny and mid to high 50s. I have some windows open as I set me oven to self clean (it stinks), am doing some laundry and waiting for my hubby to get home to get our new bed set up! My back has been bothering me in the morning for the last few months and I finally talked Mike into getting a new mattress. Our pillow top is about 8 years old and has indents where we sleep. I decided to try out the new “bed in the box” hype. It is memory foam and my research says that this should be better for my back. The bed actually is not in a box, it is in a giant bag; kind of compressed and rolled up waiting to be released and given time to expand. So sad that this is what I am looking forward to this weekend. I am hoping we can sleep on it Sunday night!!! I also hope that my expectations are not too high. Now I just need to figure out how to dispose of our old mattress…

  1. I got one! I’m obsessed with mine. I got the Nest love & sleep mattress and I could not be happier with it. It keeps me cool and it’s just the right amount of support/softness. I read a ton of research that says mattresses purchased online based on what you know you need end up being better for you in the long run because in the store you get tricked by softness at the moment! I hope you love yours as much as I love mine!

  2. I’ve been the happy (and somewhat hesitant) recipient of a rolled up mattress that was delivered in a long box to my apartment door, and I love our mattress. Friends of ours took the old one (we had to lower it through the bedroom window since it didn’t fit down our stairs!), and I’ll never go back to a box spring ever again. I hope you love your new mattress situation! Be sure to give it enough time to “unravel” from the packaging before you dress it all up.

  3. I have wondered about those and thought about trying one or two. Need a new mattress for my daughters bed ad for mine bed. Would love to wake up without my back hurting me.

  4. I am intrigued! My husband and I feel like we need a new mattress. We bought ours 16 years ago. The “Cadillac” of mattresses the salesperson said. So we forked over a couple thousand for our Stearns and Foster, but we are definitely ready for a new one! Please let me know how you like it!
