Day 2

I always feel silly writing on days that seem so mundane. Early morning start cleaning, doing laundry, grocery shopping and other errands. Here I sit at 4:15 with no plans for the evening thinking about how I have nothing really to say. It is so strange that the older I get the more I want to sit at home and do nothing; until I am actually sitting around at home doing nothing and bored out of my mind. The truth is that being an adult really is not that fun. I really, really thought it would be so fun. It is, at times, but the real adulting stuff is not. Maybe I can convince my retired parents to start doing all of that stuff for me…

  1. Isn’t it funny how when we were little we just wanted to grow up and now it would be so nice to be a kid again? Maybe a good book or reading some of the blogs today will inspire you! If you have Amazon Prime, check out Rachel Hollis’ Made for More documentary. I loved it – saw it in the movies- and i know it’s been released on Amazon! Hope your night is just what you need.

  2. Oh, I hear ya! Every year I become a little bit more of a serial bailer – bailing out of all sorts of things so I can be home. 😂😂

Also, I keep wondering when the Laundry Fairy is gonna show up…

I saw something on Facebook about a mountain climber who started on the small hill called "elementary", a little bigger hill called "middle school", a little larger hill called "high school", then after high school, the climber looks up, and sees this gigantic mountain called "life". That's how I feel about adulting, a gigantic mountain! 🙂

However, I can drive and enjoy a good glass of wine, so there's that! 🙂

    Thanks for the great slice!
